Ayurveda

There are many countries and cultures with traditional massages, but the Ayurvedic massages and therapies, that came from India to Sri Lanka in 246 BC., are unique. The Sanskrit words "Ayus" and "Veda" mean "knowledge" and "life", i.e., the science of health, focusing primarily on maintaining health and preventing disease. The principles of Ayurveda consist in the pursuit of internal balance, which ensures a person's natural defenses and health. We can achieve this, for example, with a healthy lifestyle, diet and positive thinking. Internal imbalance, on the other hand, is a sign of illness. However, there are many factors around us that disturb the energetically balanced state. The goal of Ayurveda is therefore to reveal these factors and restore balance in the body.
